Introducing Storri: A New Luxury Vinyl Flooring Design Inspired by Untold Narratives

Parterre announces the arrival of Storri Luxury Vinyl— a new vinyl flooring collection featuring the reclaimed wood luxury vinyl plank design of Kennett and stone luxury vinyl tile design of Madal.

A gathering of design inspiration from stories untold, the patterns within Storri embrace cultural values from diverse environments. Available in both luxury vinyl tile and plank, Storri’s 11 color options offer interior spaces an open page for telling its own story.

Balancing out the collection with a wood and stone look, Kennett and Madal draw from the cultural experiences and the stories that go unheard. The flexibility of luxury vinyl allows for Kennett and Madal colors and patterns to be mixed and matched with additional Parterre flooring designs for the ultimate customized installation.

“Eclectic and industrial, Storri’s designs work well in a variety of interior spaces,” said designer Roche Fitzgerald. “Madal’s neutral stone look is perfect for any industry, whereas Kennett works especially well in hospitality and retail settings, for both flooring installations as well as feature wall installations.”

The new vinyl flooring designs work well in any industry and come in multiple sizes, all in a commercial construction.

Here’s a closer look at the two new designs included in the Storri Luxury Vinyl collection:

Kennett

Derived from the mushroom capital of the world, Kennett’s original design comes from an actual wall within a building structure in Kennett Square, PA, where mushrooms were cultivated and farmed. Reminiscent to the precise growing process of mushrooms, as well as symbolic to the history of the building it came from, Kennett is a reclaimed wood-look design transformed by Mother Nature.

“The restorative wood-look of Kennett speaks out to the art form of mushroom farming,” said Fitzgerald. “When you look at Kennett, you can tell there is a history behind it and a sense of cultivation. Years of aging have brought out patinas and different colors in the wood.”

Kennett is available in seven colors: Ash, Chalk, Coral, Grain, Indigo, Mica and Timber, and is available in a wide plank size of 7.25” x 48” x 3 mm.

With a strong focus on reclaimed wood, Kennett is optimal for retail settings, hospitality environments like boutique hotels and restaurants and specialized areas within corporate, education and multi-family spaces. Kennett is also an ideal design for feature wall concepts and installations.

Madal’s design story draws inspiration from another area of the world, Nepal. Named for a type of Nepali drum used for rhythm keeping, Madal gets its stone-like design from the intricate detail of a third-generation drum often used for playing music and celebrating life’s events.

Like all patterns and colors within the Storri Luxury Vinyl collection, Madal finds design inspiration from cultural values, particularly with the use of music in Nepali history as a part of various rituals, festivals and ceremonies celebrating life.

Madal is available in four colors: Rift, Coda, Root and Shell. Madal is offered in a multi-sized format consisting of 12” x 12” x 3 mm and 12” x 24” x 3 mm tiles, which are meant to be mixed together during installation.

“By combining different size and shape options, Madal offers several layout variations, allowing for unique patterns and arrangements with every installation,” said Parterre’s President, T. Fred Roche.

The flexibility of Madal luxury vinyl makes it suitable for all commercial interiors.
