5 Ways to Use Deco, HardCore’s New Flooring Design Addition

Deco_Nouveau_luxury vinyl tile-3New Flooring Design Inspires New Applications

Introducing Deco, one of the newest designs in our relaunched HardCore Luxury Vinyl Tile collection. The inspiration of Deco came from Art Deco, a style of decorative art and architecture, which became prevalent in the 1920s. With inspiration drawn from renowned buildings like the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building, Deco’s linear, marbled pattern speaks to a post-war era when culture began flourishing again.

The strong, directional design and palette of cool and warm neutrals make Deco ideal for a retail or hospitality setting with a distinctive and welcoming style.

“Deco is a play off of Art Deco, and was born from a festival, a Universal Exposition in Paris after WWI, when the world started feeling good again. Deco is fun, happy, from an era when everyone had a good time—that quintessential Great Gatsby kind of feel.”

– Roche FitzGerald, Parterre Product Designer

Deco Bauhaus with Gold Feature Strips

Deco, Bauhaus, 78815

Feature strips are a simple way to add a touch of intrigue to flooring designs. Inspired by the black and gold trend spotted at BDNY, we have paired gold feature strips with the Deco Bauhaus pattern for the look above. This is a simple stack bond pattern and is ideal for hotel lobbies or high-end retail spaces. The simple glimmer of gold combined with the linear pattern of Deco will add sophistication to any installation.

Deco Nouveau Pattern – Weave

Deco, Nouveau, 78820

The weave pattern is a simple twist on a standard installation. The weave alternates the direction of the flooring design every other block. While a very simple concept, it’s an easy way to alter the impact of the overall aesthetic of the room.

The particular pattern shown above, which combines Moderne with Moonlit Linear Oak is a fresh take on a stack bond or weave pattern. This design is ideal for most commercial settings, with the neutral tones working especially well in a healthcare setting.
