Bentley and Parterre Launch Astronomie Collection
Bentley Mills, an industry leader in design, quality and sustainability, has partnered with Parterre Flooring Systems to design a comprehensive flooring solution that includes broadloom and modular carpet plus vinyl tile products. The Astromie™ Collection, which is slated to launch in the Summer of 2010, boasts 15 luxury vinyl tile and 3 sleek vinyl wood plank designs that directly coordinate with 18 carpet designs from Bentley Prince Street’s best-selling Satellite City™ and Saturnia™ lines. Astronomie’s carpet and vinyl tile coordinates lend themselves to projects that require designers to handle a variety of spaces in a single project. Its ability to create a cohesive look with different floor coverings makes it the ideal choice for corporate, hospitality, educational, retail and public spaces.
“Parterre shares our commitment to innovative design and environmental responsibility,” says Anthony Minite, president of Bentley Prince Street. “We were excited to collaborate with them on this collection, which is one of the most multifunctional, high level floor covering concepts in today’s marketplace.”
Parterre Flooring System’s vision for perfect flooring that is environmentally friendly, while remaining durable and beautiful, perfectly complements Bentley Prince Street’s Mission Zero® promise to completely eliminate any negative impact it may have on the environment by the year 2020. Saturnia features a tufted tip shear construction made with Antron® Brilliance 6,6 nylon. Satellite City features a tufted textured loop construction made with Antron Lumena Solution dyed nylon. The vinyl tile coordinates are 100% recyclable and available with the EnviroSTIX™ Adhesive system.
The proven EnviroSTIX technology stands out during sensitive projects because high traffic floors may be immediately accessed after product application. Plus, this adhesive system solves high moisture and high relative humidity problems, all while eliminating many of the indoor air quality issues typically associated with traditional glue-based adhesives. EnviroSTIX creates an odorless, vapor-free, and permanent flooring bond that will never dry, harden, crack, or crystallize throughout its use.
“By collaborating with Bentley Prince Street, we’re able to expand our reach and offer customers a wider range of flooring products that meet their needs for design, durability and sustainability,” says Parterre President T. Fred Roche. “Now, designers can easily coordinate all their spaces with the ultimate selection of vinyl, broadloom and carpet tiles.”
“We set out to design a collection where durable and beautiful Parterre vinyl tiles would perfectly compliment our popular Satellite City and Saturnia lines,” says Valerie Ottaviano, vice president of product design of Bentley Prince Street. “The outcome is the Astronomie Collection where streaming light bounces off metallic-infused colors for an effect that is extraordinary and offers ultimate design flexibility.”
Astronomie takes its design cues from earth’s natural resources and the rugged, fiery terrains of planets and moons in the universe. The inspiration for the collection can be seen in its nature-based color palette with metallic details. Saturnia is a pebbly, natural structure with rich color, while Satellite City is a combination of metallic patterning, natural colorations and knitted pearlescent textures. Parterre’s tile coordinates offer edgy colorways and textures in an artfully, high quality alternative to costly stone and metal floors. The color palette is carefully calibrated to coordinate 14641 East Don Julian Road City of Industry, California 91746 800.423.4709 with not only carpet from Saturnia and Satellite City, but also a myriad of other carpet styles within the entire Bentley Prince Street line.
