InGrained Collection Welcomes New Plank Designs
One of Parterre’s earliest plank collections, InGrained, has been refreshed with new designs and sizes modeled after traditional woodgrains found in nature. The collection is made up of over 10 different wood species in 45+ designs with distinctive textures that mirror natural colors and character marks.
With an offering of 13 new plank designs, InGrained encompasses the awe of nature. Through the rich details of weathered, exotic and classic woods, these designs harmonize with interior elements to create modern spaces, evoking a sense of balance for those who inhabit the spaces.
InGrained: Echo Pine 11866
“In terms of the natural woodgrain of the designs, InGrained has always been our more traditional line of planks. The knots and cathedrals provide unique characteristics to each design that aid in creating original interior spaces,” said Parterre Product Designer Roche FitzGerald.
InGrained’s new designs, along with current collection favorites like Exotic Walnut and English Elm, offer modern takes on classic wood species. New design Echo Pine is a contemporary gray color, but with the traditional look of wood. The multi-toned Essex Maple is a mix of warm and neutral tones alongside more pronounced cathedrals.

InGrained’s updated line of nearly 50 designs has an option for any commercial interior space—whether it’s the waiting room of a medical center, throughout a department store, in the living spaces of an apartment complex or dormitory, or in the dining room of a restaurant.
Varying by size, InGrained’s plank designs are available in a 6” x 36” x 3mm or 7.25” x 48” x 3mm formats. A first-time size for the collection, the 7.25” x 48” larger plank size has been a continuing trend in the flooring industry and a popular addition to other Parterre collections.
One additional change to the InGrained collection is the alteration of our 4” x 36” x 3mm planks to a 6” x 36” x 3mm size. Popular designs like Natural Bamboo or Gunstock Oak that were previously offered in a 4” width will have the same design, but in a 6” width. The decision to change the size comes from the growing trend in the industry to use wider planks. Not only does this make the installation process simpler, the designs are better showcased on each individual plank.
