Softer, Contemporary LVT Designs Introduced in Vertu Collection
With the look of wood only continuing to grow in popularity for the commercial industry, Parterre’s collection of modern luxury vinyl plank designs is welcoming a variety of new designs. The Vertu Luxury Vinyl Plank collection is introducing 12 plank designs and a featured woven tile in three colors for a total of 16 new product offerings.
The new planks in Vertu offer an artistic take on popular wood species, particularly oaks, with the softness of Vertu’s woods speaking to the resimercial trend. Though contemporary overall, there is a comforting element to the designs with blended wood looks and a mix of warm and cool tones.
“The look of softer, nearly indistinguishable wood is trending right now,” said Parterre Product Designer Roche FitzGerald. “It is harder to identify their wood species with the graining of the new Vertu designs having an almost painted look to them, like a piece of art.”
The artistic feel of the planks are designed to complement other elements in interior spaces — like strong accent colors and patterns in fabrics or paint colors — allowing the floor to serve as the backdrop. Because of this, Vertu is a versatile collection for all commercial industries including hospitality spaces like hotel guest rooms or restaurants, corporate offices, boutique or department stores, or multi-family settings.
Among the standout designs are Shutter Oak, a warm brown wood with a linear design similar to current collection favorites Moonlit Linear Oak and Empire Linear Oak, and a maple wood unique with varying color tones called Venise Maple.
First time wood species for Vertu include Silver Bamboo — an abstract gray with metallic shading to it — and Canna Teak, a sleek, warm red/brown wood. A contemporary selection of soft grays has also been added including the gray/white Morning Oak and the darker Terrasse Oak.
Varying by size, Vertu’s new plank designs are available in a 6” x 36” x 3mm format or 7.25” x 48” x 3mm. A first time size for the collection, the 7.25” x 48” larger plank has been a continuing trend in the flooring industry and a popular addition to other Parterre collections. Also available for the first time in Vertu is an 18” x 18” x 3mm tile design: Keren.
A woven tile design in three neutral colors, Keren is inspired by the intricate craft of basket weaving. “Keren’s design is unique for luxury vinyl,” said FitzGerald. “It has a strong crosshatching, giving it a true woven look that is perfect for commercial settings. And for an installation all its own, pair Keren with any of the new planks in Vertu.”
In fact, mixing and matching current or new designs in Vertu will result in a distinctive flooring design for any setting. Blend a variety of colors, patterns, wood species or even plank widths.
