Travertine Vinyl Tile -The Universal Look of Luxury
Travertine Vinyl Tile for a Century’s Old Look
Named for a city just outside of Rome, Tivoli travertine vinyl tile is one of the newest luxury vinyl flooring additions to Parterre’s HardCore Luxury Vinyl Tile collection. Tivoli is characterized by neutral colors that have a hint of metallic and emulate the look of travertine. A soft stone that has been used in structures and monuments for centuries, travertine remains popular to this day. Tivoli brings the look of travertine with the durability that Parterre’s luxury vinyl flooring is known for, without the vulnerabilities of the natural limestone-based material.
“When I look at travertine I’m reminded of the beautiful, stately buildings from my childhood—museums, churches, train stations. Tivoli is this kind of travertine, it is softer, aged, refined, like the luxurious baths in Rome, or Yellowstone National Park.”
– Roche FitzGerald, Parterre Product Designer
Tivoli travertine vinyl tile comes in three colors: Terre, Sienna and Villa, each with their own aesthetic. The ability to customize the look of this luxury flooring for your project is rich with possibilities.
Here are a few design ideas for taking this travertine vinyl tile flooring to the next level of sophistication:
Tivoli Terre — Weave
This weave pattern is a simple twist on a popular installation look. The weave alternates the direction of the flooring design every other block. It’s easy to execute, and is a great way to alter the impact of the overall aesthetic of the room with a boost of creativity.
Tivoli Sienna — Stack Bond Variation of Travertine Vinyl Tile
Shown here is another variation of a stack bond pattern, done in warm Sienna. As you can see, this pattern alternates the stack bond not just on each row, but also from row to row. This type of pattern suggests an intricate masonry pattern.
3-Color Stagger
Since Tivoli travertine vinyl tile offers three colors, it’s a great product for 3-color design patterns, such as this example of a 3-color stagger. This is an interesting configuration as it uses the stone look of the Tivoli luxury flooring design, and uses a pattern inspired by traditional wood flooring installation. However, the stagger of the three different colors is what takes this from a standard flooring design to a creative expression.
2-Color Weave
This design incorporates 2 colors from Tivoli and although the base design is a weave, the addition of the second color creates a pinwheel or interlocking “L” effect. This installation is very impactful when viewed on a larger scale.
These patterns are the just the beginning of what you can do with Tivoli travertine vinyl tile and the many other luxury vinyl flooring designs that we offer.
